Who says a wedding dress has to be tucked away in a closet after the big day? These two brides wanted to rock their gowns one last time for a fun fall photo shoot. I had a blast photographing Mackenzie and Lexi, and they were troopers trekking through the woods!

All you Project Runway fans out there, this post’s for you! Over the weekend it was my pleasure to photograph a fashion show headlined by the oh so fierce season 4 winner, Christian Siriano. Pink Jams Rocks the Runway has become an annual DC event created to celebrate fashion and promote breast cancer awareness. Charm City Devils rocked the stage while breast cancer survivors worked the runway in all-pink couture to open the show. Christian Siriano closed with a sneak peek of his 2012 Spring/Summer collection. It was a great show with an even better cause! Many thanks to DC on Heels for asking me to cover this event!

Last weekend on 9.10.11 (how cute), two close friends of mine tied the knot. Mackenzie and Bill, I felt so honored to capture your beautiful wedding day! It was perfect! Here’s a little sneak peek of a few shots that I love. Many, MANY more to come!

Well, it’s been a while since my last blog post – but this one is worth the wait! On July 8th, my family welcomed a new baby boy into the world. Tiny Timmy is my first nephew, and I can already tell that he’ll be a star athlete and scholar. He’s already a lady killer, but luckily he’ll have the watchful eyes of two older sisters to keep him in line! Congratulations to my beautiful sister, Kristyn, and brother-in-law, Tim. I don’t know how you do it…but I’m glad you do!

A few weekends ago, I had the pleasure of shooting an engagement session for my good friend/co-worker/roommate, Cristina, and her fiance Danny. I had such a great time with these two, and we caught a beautiful sunset at the Tidal Basin in DC. Congrats to both of you! You’re a great couple, and I can’t wait for the wedding!

So, you might recognize these two from another engagement shoot, and you would be right! I shot their first engagement session at the Lincoln Memorial a while back. However, when I needed to shoot a last minute engagement session for my wedding photography class, Lexi and Joey were gracious enough to agree to round #2. Thanks for being such troopers…I can’t decide which location I liked better!

The weekend before Valentine’s Day, I felt like taking a quick trip home to Pennsylvania. My nieces are always my favorite photography subjects, so when they started making their very first snowman…I may have gone a little snap happy. With a leopard hat, a half eaten carrot nose, and some form of hybrid moustache/cat whisker stick mouth, I really think the little man of snow had some character. What a fun day!

Last weekend, I made my way to the National Gallery in DC for an engagement session. What an awesome location! You can’t go wrong when surrounded by great art and beautiful architecture. Working with a cute couple doesn’t hurt either. Here are some of my favorite shots from the day.

Washington…the state!

A few weekends ago, I waved goodbye to the district and took a last minute trip to the other Washington. This was my first time exploring the great northwest, and I must say – it was gorgeous! Yes, there was a bit of rain here and there, but I actually saw green grass…in January! I split my time between Seattle and Tacoma, went on a duck tour, walked through Pike Place Market, explored the Glass Museum and the Music Project Building designed by Frank Gehry, and of course rode an elevator to the top of the Space Needle. It was an awesome weekend, and I can’t wait to go back! Here are some of my favorite shots.

Big Brother’s Gettin’ Hitched!

I can still hardly believe it, but my big brother’s an engaged man! Last month, I was lucky enough to capture some engagement photos for him and his bride-to-be in Lancaster, PA. Kudos to both of you for roughing it in the December cold without coats. Diana, you were a much better sport than Sean! I can’t wait for the wedding!
